ABOUT

My name is Deborah Glasgow and I am a Jewellery Artist based in London. I create a diverse range of jewellery for commercial and editorial clients, all with a clean and creative aesthetic.

I began designing Jewellery when I worked at Selfridges and Co as a Sales Associate where I bought at the store Jewellery materials. So the vision of Biblos Glasgow Jewellery was birthed at Selfridges & Co.

I have previously obtained a degree in Product Design from Central St. Martins School. This was after completing a BTEC Foundation in Art and Design. I went on to train in Jewellery Manufacture at Holts Academy, Hatton Garden. I acquired 2 Diplomas from Holts Academy. Also, I did various day courses at The London Jewellery School when it was in Hatton Garden. I spent a year under Goldsmith and Silversmith Kelvin J Birk where I learned to refine my skills as a Jewellery Artist.

I have shown my Jewellery at The Contemporary Jewellery Exhibition in Birmingham, as well as Spitalfields Market at various occasions. I also was asked to show at 13 The Gallery in Newington Green which was an Art Gallery. Lastly my Jewellery was sold at a Fashion Boutique called Kissing in Traffic in Stoke Newington.

More recently, I was signed in 2019 with Fashion Agency, Fashion Crossover London, where I provided both fashion and jewellery for music videos and magazine editorials, internationally.
My neckpiece design was worn in 2021 for a photoshoot by Ella Vaday of Rupaul’s Drag Race Uk. Thanks to my Agency Fashion Crossover London. In March 2024 I had a Showcase Exhibition at The Forge Jewellery Showroom and Hub.

I want my Client- Tribe to feel a connection with the designs that give them a sense of their own personality and identity. That the jewellery is an expressive uniform for you.

I have a 17 year old daughter who has always inspired me to create and be an independent Designer.

The techniques I use in producing the Jewellery include creating wax designs and having them cast in bronze and then plated in gold or silver by another company in Hatton Garden. I also pierce predominantly at my Jeweller’s Bench designs from sheet metal and then have them plated or I make them in Sterling Silver Sheet.

Piercing or Sawing is my passion! And I love creating contemporary bold pendants from my Jeweller’s Bench in trendy Stoke Newington.
